Our client in Woodbridge, NJ has been in business locally for fifty years and is looking for a Bookkeeper. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting detail oriented who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and wants to play a key role in the financial operations of a small but expanding company. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience and be comfortable managing all aspects of day-to-day accounting functions. Responsibilities Process and manage Accounts Payable and vendor payments Handle Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and collections Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Assist with and support month-end closings Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records Prepare accounting reports and assist management with financial information Handling a small payroll.Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processes Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced small business environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in property management, real estate, or related industries is highly desirable but not required Compensation & Benefits The company offers a competitive compensation package along with excellent benefits, including: Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) Program (14 paid holidays a year).
